On October 9, CATEKCNC welcomed two customers from Norway to our factory for a closer look at our CNC metal milling machines. The customers own a factory in Norway that specializes in manufacturing components for the oil industry. During their visit, they explored our metal machining equipment and watched a live machining demonstration to learn more about its capabilities.

The visit focused on our CK-600D CNC ATC metal milling machine, including its main configuration, automatic tool changing system, XYZ-axis movements, and CNC control functions. Our team also conducted a machining test to give the customers a firsthand look at the machine in operation.
As the Norwegian customers were already familiar with metal milling technology, the visit involved detailed discussions about the machine's functions and operating procedures. At their request, we switched the CNC control system to English so they could follow the interface more easily and examine the machine's operation in greater detail.
The visit provided an opportunity for the customers to learn more about CATEKCNC's CNC machining solutions and explore equipment suitable for their industrial parts manufacturing needs.
I.Norwegian Customers Visit CATEKCNC to Explore Our Manufacturing Capabilities
At the beginning of the visit, our team introduced CATEKCNC and provided an overview of our factory and CNC machinery.
For customers considering industrial equipment, an on-site visit offers an opportunity to see the machines in person, understand their main functions, and communicate directly with the manufacturer. It also allows customers to ask specific questions about machine configuration and operation.
The two Norwegian visitors were particularly interested in our metal milling equipment because of their factory's focus on oil industry components.
Parts used in industrial applications can involve different materials, dimensions, and machining requirements. Understanding these requirements is an important step in determining whether a particular CNC metal milling machine is suitable for a customer's production needs.
During the initial discussion, our team introduced the relevant equipment and explained its main functions. The conversation then moved to a more detailed demonstration of the CK-600D CNC ATC metal milling machine.

Rather than relying only on product specifications, the customers could observe the equipment directly and gain a better understanding of how its different functions work together during machining.
II. Demonstrating the CK-600D CNC ATC Metal Milling Machine
The CK-600D CNC ATC metal milling machine was the main focus of the equipment demonstration during the visit of our customers from Norway. Our team introduced the machine’s key features and demonstrated how it handles various machining tasks, giving visitors a deeper understanding of the machine’s powerful capabilities in industrial metal parts manufacturing.
Designed specifically for machining metal parts, the CK-600D combines CNC XYZ-axis motion with an automatic tool-changing system. These features enable the machine to follow preset machining paths and automatically change tools when different machining operations are required. During the tour, the Norwegian clients watched a live demonstration of the machine in operation and learned how these features work together during the machining process.
1. Automatic Tool Change Demonstration
The automatic tool change system was one of the highlights of the demonstration. When metal parts for the oil industry require multiple machining operations—such as milling and drilling—different cutting tools are needed to complete the process. The CK-600D can automatically change tools according to the machining program, thereby reducing the need for manual tool changes between operations.
Our team demonstrated the tool-changing process and explained how it streamlines the machining workflow. This feature is particularly useful for manufacturers of industrial components when workpieces have multiple features that require machining with different tools. The actual benefits depend on part design, machining sequence, and production requirements.
Depending on production needs, the machine can be equipped with either a linear tool magazine or a carousel tool magazine. The linear tool magazine arranges tools in a straight line, while the carousel design stores tools in a circular arrangement. Both options support automatic tool changes, allowing manufacturers to choose a configuration based on their machining requirements and preferred setup.

By observing this process firsthand, the visitors from Norway gained a better understanding of how the automatic tool-changing system supports CNC machining and reduces operator intervention during production.
2. XYZ-Axis Movement and CNC Operation
Our team also demonstrated the coordinated movement of the machine’s X, Y, and Z axes. In the CNC system, these axes guide the cutting tool along preset paths, enabling the machine to machine different areas of the workpiece according to the machining design.
The CK-600D has a machining travel of 550 x 600 x 200 mm, making it suitable for machining a wide range of small-to-medium-sized metal parts. With a maximum spindle speed of 24,000 rpm, it can flexibly handle a wide range of machining tasks when paired with the appropriate cutting tools and parameters. During the demonstration, our team explained how the control system manages the machine’s movements and showed visitors how the axes work together during operation. This machining video will help you better understand the process.
In addition to the machine’s motion and tool-changing capabilities, customers also learned about its enclosed work area and coolant system, which help control chips and provide cooling during the machining process. For manufacturers seeking a practical CNC milling solution for their workshops, these features are important considerations.
Through this on-site demonstration, CATEKCNC aimed to give visitors a clearer understanding of how the CK-600D CNC ATC metal milling machine operates, and how the combination of its CNC-controlled motion and automatic tool changer supports the production of industrial metal parts.
III. Live Machining Test Gives Customers a Closer Look at Machine Performance
In addition to the equipment introduction and function demonstrations, the Norwegian customers watched an actual machining test. Seeing a CNC metal milling machine operate under machining conditions provides a more direct understanding of its working process than reviewing specifications alone. Customers can observe the coordinated movements of the machine, the operation of the spindle, and the execution of the programmed machining process.
During the test, the customers watched the CK-600D perform the machining operation and had an opportunity to examine the machine's operation firsthand. For manufacturers evaluating CNC equipment, this type of demonstration is an important part of understanding how a machine functions in practice. It also provides an opportunity to discuss specific machining requirements with the manufacturer.
Because the Norwegian customers' factory produces components for the oil industry, the machine's practical machining capabilities were an important part of their evaluation. Different industrial components may require different machining processes depending on their material, dimensions, and design. The suitability of a machine therefore needs to be considered in relation to the customer's actual workpieces.
The live machining test helped the customers gain a more direct understanding of the equipment and provided a starting point for further discussion about their application requirements.
