Laser Cutter Only for Thin Sheets? This Laser-Flame Hybrid Cutter Says No!

There's a common misconception that laser cutters are only good for thin sheets, while thick carbon steel is best left to plasma and flame cutting. Well, that's only half true.
It's true that plasma and flame cutters perform better on thick carbon steel — but does that mean you need to buy both a laser cutter and a plasma/flame cutter?
The answer is no. The GH3200-12 featured in this video offers two modes: standard laser cutting and laser-flame hybrid cutting. In standard mode, it performs just like any conventional laser cutter. But switch to hybrid mode, and it gains the capability to cut thick carbon steel with ease.
Compared to plasma or flame cutters, this machine uses the laser for piercing and then switches to flame for cutting — significantly improving both piercing efficiency and accuracy. In hybrid mode, it can cut carbon steel up to 200mm thick.
It's especially well-suited for industries like heavy machinery, shipbuilding, and steel structure fabrication — where cut quality and efficiency on thick plates are top priorities.
